Local member Bruce G provides the following account of the recent 2CV outing to Québec City, organized by the Montréal 2CV community. Photos were provided by Bruce G and Ian C.
The invitation was issued by our Quebec deuchiste friends and was taken up by Bruce Grant and Ian Craib with spouses Diane and Margaret. We back-roaded to the rendezvous at Saint Sulpice on Friday, to be ready for action on Saturday morning. The parade route took us along the historic Chemin du Roy to Quebec City, where we found the big garage of Jean-Guy Larouche converted into a banquet hall. It must be said of our Quebec friends that the welcomes are always warm and they know very well how to celebrate and enjoy these happy occasions.
Sunday, a dozen deuches were present along the Boul Champlain and out to La Baie Beauport; avoiding the maze within the city walls. Later, our little Ottawa group returned to the old city to wear out four pairs of legs and enjoy a good dinner.
