Well, it has finally happened, after all these years, I finally have a deuche to play with.

As a boy I lived in Metz, France, and chummed around with a friend who drove a 425 cc 2CV.  We blasted all over town in that car – pedal to the metal and I was hooked.  I loved the soft but surprisingly grippy ride even though the front end sometimes bottomed out when my buddy slammed on the brakes. I did not know it at the time, but his car only had “batteurs” and that was the reason why.  So when Bob McLeod gave me the opportunity to help out in a rebuild of a 2CV, I felt my youth returning and I could not help myself, I just had to get in on the action. So here begins a thread that will document what is happening.  I hope you enjoy it and that it may help you with any work you are doing on your deuche.
