The bottom of the aprons at the rear of the deuche were hopelessly rotten where they meet the rear fenders and had to be excised. So, I hammered out some new ones, and installed them.
A little side note here about sheet metal tools. Although you can really speed up metal shaping up with expensive tools like an English wheel and a power hammer, you don’t need them to get good results. It is amazing what you can do with simple inexpensive hand tools. It just takes longer.
Here is a picture of the new bit on the passenger side of the apron. You can just see the horizontal weld line in this picture. A bit of filling and sanding will fix this.
